1001 Days
March 11, 2020 was the day the World Health Organization declared Covid-19 a pandemic. More colloquially, it was the day Tom Hanks announced his infection and the NBA shut down. December 7, 2022 will mark 1001 days since the day generally recognized as the first of The Great Disruption. 1001 Days is a limited series podcast that seeks to document the absurdity in the mundane of this quickly fading hinge moment.
Comedian Riley McCarthy is not so much the host as he is the protagonist, embarking on an odyssey of sorts, sifting through the detritus of these lost years, green room-by-green room and friend-by-friend, trying to measure the change they've experienced individually and collectively—just as live comedy kinda, sorta began to return.
Friends include Mx. Dahlia Belle, Mary Jane French, Andy Iwancio, Clancy Kramer, Thomas Lundy, Mitch Mitchell, and Tory Ward.
The series is created, produced, and edited by Violet Eileen.
1001 Days drops December 7th.
